I was looking around in my style template and can't find where to change the Forum_Old.gif nor the Forum_New.gif to a .png file. What template should I change if I have already uploaded my new .pngs to the same folder location?
Thanks, Adam aka Stunod StunodRacing.com |

You can do that within the ACP. Same spot where you created your forums. There is a spot to place (if required) an auxillary/replacement image.
Forum & Moderators>Forum Manager>(select forum you wish to place new image)>Prefix for Forum Status Images enter prefix and name of new image. Piece of cake...and best of all, no template edits. |

At the bottom of each styles main css you have the option to add replacement variables.
At the very bottom of your "all style options" page for each style (where you input the css values, etc) you'll see a box titled "Replacements Variables". Click "Add new replacement variable", select the style you want different images to show in. In the Search for Text box type in the original url, eg /images/icons/originalformat.gif and in the Replace with Text box type in the new url to the images, for example /newstyle/images/icons/whateverformat.png ![]() |

Remember, when using the replacement variable feature, if you use it for your forum_old, and forum_new, it's going to affect the subforum_old and subforum_new images, as well.
