Quick reply issue

Running 3.8.2...

When I use Quick Reply, I'm able to type in my message...when I submit, the post gets deleted and is replaced by "Please click one of the Quick Reply icons in the posts above to activate Quick Reply." That's the message that ends up going live.

Any solution for this? I've never seen this before.
