Hello, my forum is working on cutting down the amount of jerks getting through and spamming up the place. How can I set the forum that new users have to post in an introduction forum and then a mod has to okay them to have posting access to the rest of the forum? And to have it so that the new users know they must post their first message in the new user threads? Thanks for any help in advance.

Although, I'd try to avoid all this by enabling more human verification (it's under vBulletin Options) |

many many thank yous... the spam problem in our forum is just out of control!
--------------- Added [DATE]1235354253[/DATE] at [TIME]1235354253[/TIME] --------------- how can i make it obvious to new users that they must post in the newbie forum in order to gain access to post on the rest? it seems that people would get confused and frustrated. |

I use question and answer verification to stop bots from registering. Try to have new users answer a simple question like "How do you spell d-o-g?"
I haven't had any bots register since I did that. Human spammers can figure that out but they aren't a bother. |

How do I set new users to automatically register into the 'new user' user group instead of the registered user group?
