Hi there -
I tried searching this and didn't turn anything up, so if I've missed something, please point me with a link, thanks! Here's the trouble: I have a forum at http://ecomodder.com/forum, which has a subforum Savings@Home. We recently started a new forum at http://ecorenovator.org/forum that we intend to do the same thing with that we had going on at the first, but in an expanded way. However, we want to mover all the posts over. Part of this is just to shift the discussion so we can shut down the subforum, the other is to have more pages for google to index and more content for new users to look at and find in search. Basic question: How can we do this? Now, it would also be nice if we could set up redirects from the EM urls to the new ones on ER. Would that be possible? Would it need to be done manually? We would also want to pass on the Google PR, is why. Anyway, let me know if it's possible or if it needs to be done all manually. Thanks, Benjamin --------------- Added [DATE]1235720737[/DATE] at [TIME]1235720737[/TIME] --------------- Bump? |

By moving the threads, you need all the post data, as well as any associated user data moved as well, which could prove quite difficult.
What I suggest is to use ImpEx to import the entire board over, then remove the forums that are not needed. |
