Hi All
i've been wanting to ask this for the longest time. Okay, the standard vbulletin theme and even from the styles section are great. they're fast to load on IE. There there are people like me who has some ads here and there, thumbnails and stuff. It just take so much more longer to load on IE since it requires a certain part of a table to be fully loaded before displaying a page. for example, on the classifieds section of my forums: http://www.zerotohundred.com/newforu...d-performance/ i've got thread thumbnails and ads. the forumdisplay takes a much longer time to load on IE. and on some IEs, they hang. i know, that a good web design is a light easy to load one. but some times, there aren't much options to do otherwise. So what can i do to my theme to cure this? i've heard Table to Div conversions will solve this problem. can anyone guide me? thanks! Tom |

Your pages take for ever to load regardless of browser used and i never us IE unless im testing something.
With all the "stuff" thats loading on your pages, its tough to narrow it down to one thing as it changes depending on what page your on. From what i seen with just browsing a few pages, the ads typically load before the rest of your site does. I'd start looking at other things on your server to increase page loads, coding errors to optimizing that server. |
