any ideas why the footer is extremely slow loading ?

the footer have always been slow loading,
is it that damn copyright cron thing from vb ?

Do NOT remove the cron job from your footer! You will have all sorts of site problems if you do.

Looking at your footer, I see fbconnect? Have you tried removing that and seeing if the problem disappears?

edit: whoops, I was looking at the bottom of the page where the cron job was commented up, but you just moved it up higher.

yep only thing done with cron is i moved it "inside" the table instead of outside,

was easyer the easy road to make round egdes
hehe, dont worry i know to keep the cron there i have once installed a SKIN that
removed it, and within a couple of hours i got a mail with threats from vb.com
to reinsert.. lol i didnt ewen realised it was gone, lausy skin.

since then i only made my own skins.

You might try putting the cron back where it was - outside the table. Maybe that will make a difference. (It doesn't put any html in your page, so you don't need to worry about how it 'looks' or anything.)
