Where you born in the right generation?
If you had a choice, would you have liked to have been born in a different generation or keep things as they are? And why? I think I would have liked to have been born in the 1940s so I could have experienced the changes the 50's brought to suburbia. Of course, minus the racism. Gabby ![]() |

I wish i could've been born 30 years before i did... in the 1960's, so I could at least TRY and keep the communism in my country, cuz AFTER it fell, everything turned pitch black.
No, i'm not being racist right now. |

i'm not interested to reborn, and i would not like to go in the past.. there was no internet by then.. lol
though i liked how it was in The Little House on the Prairie... big families, big lands for all... I also like how it was in the Da Vinci period... i would go see Leonardo and kick his butt because he was too stupid to release his work ... btw, i'm more interested to see what will come in 20 or 30 years, when my kids are grownup and dealing with our past... ![]() |

Same here. I don't know what it is exactly, but I have some sort of a connection to WWII aside from relatives who fought there.
I would have liked to live though, so I could have seen Pink Floyd live in my later years. |

it would have been cool to be born in the 50s. then I could have been in my prime during the 70s. that would have been fun.
but I've very happy being 29. child of the 80s, teenager of the 90s, younger adult during the 2000s. I've seen a technological revolution take place. I've seen both worlds, a world with little to no computers around, no cell phones, no high speed internet...and today where not having that is almost unheard of. |

Hmmm...
My grandmother was born in 1914. She had her first child just as the country was leaving the Great Depression. Her second as it was entering World War II. Her last child was born in 1961. So 10 children over roughly 30 years. In her lifetime, we learned how to fly, conquered near space, created computers, fought two world wars, the automobile became common place, moved out of the cities and accomplished a lot. At 90, she got her first email address. She got her own cellphone when she turned 92. As her grandson, I am able to listen to her stories before they are claimed by Alzheimer's. I can then take them forward to new generations and impart the knowledge within them. Sure there are some things in the past that I would have liked to have seen but will have to experience them in hindsight and make sure the knowledge makes it to the future. There will be feats, disasters, and other major events that will define human progress and anguish over the next 50 years that I will get to experience as well. I will be able to pass what I have experienced to my children and grandchildren. They will then repeat the cycle. |
