I would like to display the latest Poll, Topic Links and Front page news on my existing site, all pulled from Vb.

This would be similar to vBAdvanced, but I don't want to use vBAdvanced. I want to use my existing website.

I currently use PHPBB 2. I use a mod called phpBB Fetch All to display my forums content outside of the forum, allowing my front page to look more unique than simply using the PHPBB equivalent of vBAdvanced (whatever that may be).

The nice thing about phpBB Fetch All is that I installed at the release of PVPBB v2 and years later the same script is still running strong with no updates!

So my question is, can Vb do the same without me using a portal mod like vBAdvanced? If I can install vBAdvanced and easily rip it apart so that I can add components to my website, that would work as long as I would only need to do this one, not every time there is a simple update.

I like the news system for vBAdvanced, it used forum topics to create the news. I currently have this for PHPBB, but each news topic has "Comments (27)" at the end of each news post, that comments link is then a hotlink to the news post in the forums. I would like to have this feature as well if it exists.

There are ways.

I just have a Joomla front page and copy the news from the forums and post it on Joomla.

I do not want to use a cms like that.

I'm looking for a more automated system like I currently have.

If Vb doesn't have what I need, I might as well stay with what I have.

There are a lot of them..

You can connect Wordpress to a certain forum, and there is also vBulletin Advanced

Both of those solutions do more than what I'm interested in (portals). I'm looking for a news posting system for Vb that does just that, displays posts outside of Vb in news format.

vbulletin is going to release a CMS in a few months. Hopefully it will contain a news system. As I understand it it will contain a portal system. vbadvanced can display vbulletin posts in news format.
