Pass login/passwd into vbulletin from main site...?

Hi guys,

I searched and found many similar questions but no clear answer, so forgive me if I missed this somewhere.

I need to be able to pass the login information (seamlessly) from a web site (which is java based) that makes the members login.

Ideally the accounts would be created on the main site and pushed into vbulletin. Later, when a member logs into the website and clicks on forum, they would be logged in there as well.

Clear as mud? After reading so many different posts that circle my issue, I'm confused. lol
