Ok so I have read the upgrade intructions a # of times and learned how to go about getting my editied templates done.
My only question is in the intructions it says to rename the config.php file in the updated files (from config.php.new). Do I have to replace the config.php file? Or can I use the one from 3.6.4? Man I hate what most would call a noob question,lol.... |

use your new one, because it's the current config.php for your upgrade...
open the old config, and just copy the differences over to the new config (the one you renamed from config.php.new) It's not that hard. The old and new should look pretty much the same with a few additions to the end of the 3.8 version. |

Any configuration file from 3.5+ will work on 3.8. However, you will be missing out on a few features if you use an old configuration file (namely, the datastore caching features). There is be no difference between 3.7 and 3.8 configuration files AFAIK.
