I was wondering if anyone knows of a hack so that when x usergroups come online it will flag them with some extra form of notification theyre online. For example when x usergroup comes online an image will show on the forum somewhere and when offline returns to a not online state.

Any ideas?

If their usergroup is color coded, can't they just look at the Currently Active Users list to see if someone from the same usergroup is online?

I am hoping for something more alerting. I have the images ready I just want these images to change dependant on the user/usergroup being online if possible.

I have not seen a modification like this. I think you may have to do a little bit of programming to do it. You basically need to check "is anyone in this usergroup online excluding myself".
