You know when someone asks you a question, and it seems so obvious that you should know the answer?
This is one of them, our members are asking: Is there an Image resizing Modification, that works on uploaded images. ? I really am not sure... if this is generic within VB. Essentially, if we limit size of images to 800x600 across all platforms and filesize max 500kb Then can we activate a mod, or gd rewrite to resize an incoming uploaded image on the FLY ? So that it fits within our upload rules? Ste |

This is default behaviour for vB, no modificatin needed.

Image dimensions and file sizes are only loosely related due to compression variations.
The ability to set image maximum dimensions and file sizes independently in the admin cp is a very nice feature. The software will reduce the quality of images if necessary to achieve a given file size within the dimension limits. Would you want it any other way? |
