Have come across several cross shaves with mod & plugin installations and decided I need to find out more before installing more.

If I am installing a product or mod and it hangs halfway for various reasons (e.g. server crash, corrupt script), is there a possibility it might make my forum completely inaccessible? What is the worst case scenario in such installations?

Need to know so i can make appropriate precautions or backups. Tks!

Create a backup of both files and database before installing anything. You can also first install on a test board.
