Default Need Website Advice...

I can code in many languages... But I'm wondering what to make. Either...
  • Graphic Forum - A forum which contains fonts, renders, tutorials, etc. for your graphic needs. It is a vBulletin forum. No website, only the forum.
  • YouTube-like Site - A website which user(s) can upload video(s) to, and share them with friends. This is a website, and may also contain a vBulletin forum.

Which one do you guys think would be most successful? I have amazing ideas to do with the YouTube-like site.

A site is only as successful as you make it. What does your talent exceed in designing graphics or posting videos? What makes you happier? have you the talent to implement both? Tutorial video uploads in relation with graphics, photoshop, icon construction, image editing software, 3d rendering software.

There's no point in asking the community to give you a definite answer, it's a choice you will have to make for yourself inputting the many factors that I stated above and probably many more.

do not build a site for the only purpose of success... you will be a better and happier admin if you target the fun and will to administer a cool site built with your heart...

if you simply need a site for money, any topic will do, you just need content and a lot of hits to make it worth...

I don't just want success. I have an interest in coding, and making the site plus constant updates would just be fun for me to do. Plus both topics interest me.

I'm just asking what one you guys think would be more successful. I already know I like them equally, so it's down to this. I'm not looking for money, they'll both be completely free.

i personally would be more interested in a Graphics forum, but something that is different from the 500 graphics forums that opened this month. i like real tutorials -- from real life, not something that redirect to Amazon to buy a book or a cd... i also like design contests, where you put a theme and the contestants are providing their work to vote for.

but that's me... you-tube like is soooo boring, there is a ton, and the only usage i would see for it, it sharing private personal content between members of a clan or something like a family... you-tube like is so easy to do...

Yeah, YouTube-like one wouldn't be very original also. The graphic forum, I will make tutorials from recording with Camtasia, on my desktop, while I show them how to do stuff.

Hmm.. I think graphics.

And you'd have a ton of bad videos to clean up if you did videos.

Okay, I've decided to do Graphics forum... Well, any forum.

I'm now debating on the topic of the forum...

- Graphics
- Off topic
- MMORPGs
- vBulletin Styles/Graphics
- Graphics and vBulletin Styles/Graphics

Most Off topic and MMORPGs don't ever get too successful though. There's so many out there.

If it's a graphics forum...wouldn't the topics be graphics? Not offtopic or mmorpgs or anything else? But graphics? I don't get it...

people tend to add too much content to their sites.. they add their favorites subjects even if that's at the opposite of the topic.
