Whats a good background i could use for a basketball forum , it would help if it was a repeatable image .

There is no single background that will make any site look better no matter what 'genre' of site it is. You need to create a cohesive style. Throwing a random background that you like on a forum whose layout does not fit will look exactly as it sounds, random and disorganized.
