For some reason my quick reply box in the blogs and pms has a place for smiles but they dont show , whats up with that?

Smilies doesn't normally go there, so that is from a modification. You should go ask for help fixing that in the modification thread.

Well, as I said, the proper place to ask for support is in the thread. I'm not sure what else to suggest. That is where the author is most likely to look to see if anyone needs help.

(Also, PM Quick Reply is a modification also. So you are probably going to have to debug and modify the two modifications to work together. I wouldn't expect the modification writers to be able to fix it for you if they don't have the modification installed also.)

The blog must use the same text editor as the pm's so i reccon if i fix the pm mod then the blogs would be fixed also eh?
