Hi,
I have my Forum set up in my root directory instead of "domain/forum". Is it possible to keep the forum intact and change it so I have an index or front page as the landing page? Once I got it up there, I changed my mind about the layout. I'm thinking I can download the forum files, and then upload them again but in a forum directory, then add an index page in the root. I have members now, and gaining, so I didn't want to mess with the database. I do have 2 domains: domain name forum dot com and -- domain name dot com So I can use the one domain as the front page, and hyperlink the forum in the navbar there too if it's much trouble. Any opinions? Thanks ... Mary |

You may rename your (vbulletin) index.php page to something like forums.php and then make sure to enter the new name in vboptions > forum home page options > script name for forum home page.

Hi Lynne,
You mean that's all there is to it? Just change the name of the file, and rename it in admincp? Then all I need to do is hyperlink the forum in the index nav correct? Hmm .. sounds simple. Thanks ... Mary |

Yeah, that's all there is to it unless you have modified templates to link directly to index.php instead of using $vboptions[forumhome] (or whatever the variable name is).
