Hi i would like to hide part of the forums
EG
i would like to make a Public group, where a member can join E.G. non steam games, and then when they go to the main forum home, they do not see the section called steam games, i got it to work when it becomes there primary user group, but that would mean i need to add them, i want it like they can click on NON steam games and it hides that section on the forums, but without overriding the main user ranks
Need help plz

I'm not sure I understood this correctly, but you can hide specific forums for specific usergroups by editing the appropriate Forum/Usergroup permissions here:
Admin CP -> Forums & Moderators -> Forum Permissions
Also set this option:
Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Forum Listings Display Options -> Show Private Forums -> No

no that is not what im looking for
i want to create a Public (Joinable) Custom Usergroups, which will allow Members to choose which section, they would like not to see...
E.G.
Public section
wow section
steam games section
etc etc...
Now if the member does not want to see "WoW section" he goes to Group Memberships, and selects "NON wow section"
When he goes to the main page we will no longer see the Wow section, but it must not override the main "Registered Users" as that will remove the User ranks of that Person.

This requires modifying the code, (i.e., 'hacks', plugins or extensive template modifications.) We can't offer official support for code modifications or for forums running modified code. But we do have a customization site and forums, however, with people that may be willing to help you with this.
Please visit https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/ and ask for help there in the appropriate forum. You will need to register on those forums and enter your forum email address on this form in order to get access:
