Default Force Usergroup Selection
I need a way to force my users to select a usergroup to be a part of. There will be many to chose from, but each user will know exactly which one they need to be in already. I have tried telling them, but this doesn't really work. I'd also like to force new registrations to select their usergroup while registering too.

If something like this exists, I haven't found it yet... anyone seen/heard of anything that could help me?
