Is there a modification that allows me to add the following feature:
After so many users choose to close a thread it closes. For example instead of having report a topic, I can also allow the users to close a thread but not when the first user locks the thread it takes a number of locks from different users to close. This would cut down on the time spent locking topics. OR Multiple reports of one topic and it automatically closes, e.g. you set one forum to 5 reports of topics and they auto close for you after it has had 5 reports from users. Any one understand what i'm trying to say |

This is a great suggestion for moderating threads and a new breath on this. I guess I can do this. But what I suggest is if the first post of the thread is reported more than x times then thread will be closed down and posts in threads that are reported more than x times will be auto deleted.

Well I personally wouldn't want them auto-deleted but you could have the option to do so.
I think you should be able to specify the time you want before a thread is closed. By adding a number in a number box (e.g. something like 5). Then the thread is closed when this number of reports is reached. Secondly you could have an option to move the thread when closed to a forum-id of your choice. Supprised no one has thought of this before? I mean I haven't been messing with vB in almost 2 years and it just come to mind that it would be quite useful. Thank you |

Well, I was thinking something like that but not exactly. Only for reported posts. ![]() Quote:
