I have my board setup like this :
MAIN CATEGORY -CATEGORY 1 --SUBFORUM1 of CAT 1 --SUBFORUM2 of CAT 1 -CATEGORY2 --SUBFORUM1 of CAT2 --SUBFORUM2 of CAT2 etc. I have done this so that I only have to set access permissions for the MAIN CATEGORY and the permissions are inherited throughout the rest of the categories. It is easier for me to block access by inheritance and then enable access to categories/subforums as I have a lot of usergroups. However, subforums of categories are displayed with the "Sub-Forums: " link and then placed in under the category in a horizontal list. How could I change the way subforums are displayed on forumhome so that I could have the category and then sub-forums listed vertically each in its own seperate box ? I can achieve this by making the categories parent of none but then the permissions are not inherited as they would be from the main category. |
