So I installed a fresh version of vB 3.7 and I had an old dump that ran on 3.6.5. And now im getting this error when i try and hit the page.

You need to run the upgrade script to get the database updated.

Upload the 3.7 files to your server and then run the upgrade.php file located in the /install/ directory.

Yep, one of the few times that I read, reread and followed the instructions, worked like a dream. Even though the config.php file for both 3.6.8 and 3.7 looked the same, I did change the 3.7 version and uploaded that.
All I had to do was sit back and click the "Next" button until it finished. Very nice job of writing the upgrade.php for whomeever did it. |
