This is really weird and annoying! A few days ago, my website disappeared completely off the net for a good half hour (404 not found). I contacted my host asking what the hell happened, they said there was some outage on a range of IPs etc.. with all the jargon (in a more simple way: someone stepped on the damn wire of a server).
Anyhow, things went back normally, until I noticed that my webstats (from the host) arent showing the hits, zero, it just stopped counting. I contacted them again, what the hell is happening it doesn't show, they said they are checking it (it's been 3 days already now they are checking ![]() My site is rather low traffic, it's not a big board where I would shoot myself if something like this happens, but still, I enjoy looking at those webstats and monitor things. My host served me well so far, and I don't usually complain to them. Did anyone ever have something like this? Could it be related to that server problem earlier? Can anyone explain to me what is the problem exactly? It's mind blowing ![]() |

never had to bother with stats, i have forums too big for stats... but this is normal to have stats problems when your site is unreachable when the stat system try to check on your site.. they all think your site is dead.

I see, the 404 error ended after half an hour, but the stats are still ignoring the hits 3 days later.
