Looking for advice/suggestions.
I run an Alumni Site for my high school, and am converting over from PHPBBfm (finally, thank god!). With PHPBB the best way I could figure to have people assign themselves a graduating class was via Usergroups. Once they were a member of their class, lets say Class of 1993... they would then see a Class of 1993 Forum listed on the main forums page. They wouldn't see any other Class forums except their own. Should I do this the same way in Vbulletin, or is there a better way to handle it? Is there a way to make a usergroup a forced selection when a user registers? Since I'm not sure what Mods I'm looking for for this inparticular, is there something I'm missing that would do what I'm looking for it to do? Thanks in advance, Mark |
