Is there a hack that I can install to fix my forum so that only certain usergroups can view profiles? Currently, if I disable this option "View member info", members can't even access their OWN profiles. I'd like a hack that allows me to define which usergroups can view profiles and which cannot. Does anything like that exist?

You should probably report this as a bug on vBulletin.com Bug Tracker (if have verified it on the latest version of vBulletin). Its probably just something they overlooked when implementing permissions, it would seem pretty obvious that you should have access to your own profile regardless of the permissions.
