Log IP Addresses?

I run a local Mommy Group, that has unfortunately been plagued with drama from one person who was upset that I set up a (better) competing group. My group is only open to members who live in our state (Maryland) and this person USED to be the admin of another group, but moved to North Carolina and isn't any more.

She's spent an inordinant amount of time coming up with schemes to spy on the site and harass members (emailing people to ask them why they are spending so much time, etc.) I've locked down a lot of things to prevent her from accessing the site, and recently discovered that she was logging in as another user (who does live in Maryland so can legitimately join). She was caught in the act with a screen shot and the member who shared her password was banned (after much discussion and even after being warned it continued to happen). I have blocked her IP address, but of course she can go to the local coffee shop and use their hotspot.

So.... Is there a way to block a regional IP address (i.e., everyone in North Carolina since really no one has a reason to be on my site from there) and if that isn't possible, is there a way to log in the IP addresses that members log in from? I have concerns about some of the members of the site who seemed to be friends with her, but haven't caught anything happening -- but this wench continues to email and call people with details of things from the site (because she's clearly bored and has NO life) just to stir up problems and drama.

Any other suggestions would be welcome!

I have installed the mod to see who has read a thread and it has a nifty feature that shows me all the threads that a user has read and the last time they've read the thread and the IP address from which they read the thread, so clearly, someplace in the database resides a history of IP address logins.

Anyone have any ideas on how to generate a log from this information.

I actually had to report a user to the police this past week (she changed her demographic details (new name, new location, new child information and only read threads in the pregnancy forum and checked where people would be on our calendar -- with shades of women killed for their unborn children echoing in my mind, I chose to report the user rather than risk her being a complete nutjob. Her changes were discovered after she harassed another user by subscribing her to multiple commercial messages and the sender gave up her IP address, so I looked her up and then did more research).

Who'd have thought a mom's group could have so much drama? But your help in adding another level of protection for my users would be greatly appreciated.

If you're not already aware, you have the ability to view member's registration and post IP addresses here: AdminCP - Users - Search IP Addresses. Are you sure that hack isn't pulling the members registration IP?

As far as registrations, what about approving them manually for a bit? At least you'd be able to check out the IP first. I'd keep in mind, though, trying to limit membership based off a local MD IP may cause you to lose legitimate members. What if a member is using a wireless broadband service to access the web or is behind a firewall at work.

Through the Search IP Addresses you can see the IP's of registration and POST only, not view threads, but the Mod does show IPs of the viewed threads

For instance I've logged in at my home, my blackberry (Which is super clunky but can be done) and from my mom's -- each of those IP addresses do show in the threads read (even thought I specifically didn't post at my mom's house, so that IP address does not show using the AdminCP route).

What I'm really looking to do is to be able to review that list (I can sort of do it, by finding a thread they have read, but in the case with the police reported person, it took six mods a long time to find a post she'd read (we have 18k posts and she only read 37 of them). Once you find one thread, you can link to all the others, but it's finding that first thread that can be hard.
