Hello all;
Big issue for us: Several admins on my forums; one of whom decided arbitrarily & without consensus, to delete several THOUSAND posts from one user. This is not good - we have some division as a result etc. As the only one with access to config.php, it there a snippet I can insert to restrict/prevent his user ID from these mass deletions? Or similar file? I'd ultimately only like to restrict "deletion of posts" by this ! Thanks |

u can make a new usergroup, and put such bad admins in it, and choose the option of not letting them delete posts. and give them access of anything else

Thanks - I was looking to retain this person in the current group & perform it via config file if plausible - appreciate the input! |

thats what i would do as well. make a "Restricted Admin" usergroup, give it custom permissions, stick him there.

just drop him or put him in the merisable usergroup i had one of these admins except he thought it would be funny to boost his rep/post count and attempt to put me in merisable , the control panal log doesnt lie

OK guys so I assume there is nothing that can be done via config.php relative to use ID & these custom restrictions? |

Theres nothing in the config.php file of normal vBulletin that can do what you are asking.
