Last week I set up a forum category for an RSS feed for scam emails. The forum has 4 child forums that catorgorize the format of each scam email.
About 100-150 new threads are made a day, each thread being a scammer email found across the internet. Until today those particular forums (the 4 child forums) were only getting about 5-10 search bots on them in total, but then I decided to change the forum description to show what child forums were inside, check this image so you can see what I mean: ![]() Almost immediately after I did that, I get 50-100 search bots going through them. Sometimes up to 150-200. Is this coincidence, or to the search engine spiders like to see the links beneath the forum descriptions? |

If you are making it easier for the bots to find your links, then you will get more visits.
Also changing the description on the forums for all those 100's and 100's of rss feeds will alert the spiders when they come in that something has been changed. ps.. you can make those child forums show without having to add them in the description with html ![]() |

Thanks for the info loco
![]() The descriptions are different every time. Right now there are over 800 threads from the RSS feed for the past week, and every thread has a different description. I only wanted the child forums visible in that particular forum category, so I figured just use the html to do it. |
