When I need to throttle a user on one particular board in my forums, it is an all or nothing situation. I can put him in a moderated user group and deal with it on ALL of my forums or I can BAN him on one particular forum. I'm looking for some middle ground here with a simple mod...
Code:
If user number in_array (user numbers) AND forum number in_array (forum numbers) DO moderate the user. |

Create a moderated usergroup and add them to it as a secondary user.

Insanely, I have 35 forums and 15 user groups, 10,650 members and 226,500 posts. Things can easily get out of control and I need another user group about as much as I need another hack.
![]() I guess what you are saying is to create a moderated user group just for this one situation and with the use of "Forum Permissions" flag what that user group can and cannot do on that particular forum. Then, on edit user, additional user group flags take priority over their primary user group status and will therefore control that user in that single forum? I have already thought of a name for this group. ![]() Yikes! :erm: He may just remain moderated on everything. Troublemakers! ![]() |

Problem solved by duplicating the user's usergroup and then setting "special needs" in Forum Permissions for that specific forum and usergroup.
