Database error, editing user groups

I am getting database errors, while trying to edit any user groups.......

have you installed any hack recently??

No not for some time...... but then, its been a while since i tried to edit a user group...

I tried disabling the plugin / hook system, but it is still the same.

You probably uninstalled a modification but did not remove the bitfield_XXXX.xml from the includes/xml directory.
