Ok on my development site I have been trying to come up with a way to keep users logged in to the forums even when they are no browsing the forums.
What I am doing right now is when a user logs into the forums via the forums or through a HTML form that is found on the other parts of my site, I let VB do its thing but I also edited the login function to create a session with the users details. I use that session on the rest of my site to keep the user logged in because I have login specific content and whatnot on certain pages. This works well but the problem is that the users do not stay logged into the forums, just to my site. So they can browse my site with the correct credentials but if they stray away from the forums for too long then they have to re-login to them. So my question is, how can I keep my users logged into VB as they browse my site? Is there certain cookies or something I need to set on every page load or can I just include a VB page on every page in my site to keep the cookies and sessions alive? |

vBulletin Options>>>Cookies and HTTP Header Options>>>Time-Out for Cookie set it to about 5000 or a little more.
