Joomla-Integratin / vB-PMS-Integration into CMS

Hello everybody,

after the Thread about the CMS-Integration I thought it is time to "Do" something about it. I´m using Joomla, so I will do it about Joomla. And I am no coder ... hmmm, what can I do?

First of all I want to define what my goal would be, to have a complete (!) Joomla-Integration for vBulletin. So please keep your eyes open and compare if this really fits all needs, so the product at the end will be something usefull for all Joomla/vB-Combinations.

- Single-Sign-On
However it works, it just must work. User loggs in, and is logged in in all systems.

- Userdata musst always be Synchronized in community-builder
Even if you don´t use CB, it can be installed easily. So non-CB-Users should just install it and so the solution is: Focus the Integration on CB.
I want to have all integrated: Username, Passoword, Userdata and about everything that can be in one of bouth User-Databases.

The best way would be to define the fields. So the Admin can define, which field of the one database should match to which field in the other one. If a new hack or a new extension is installed, which builds up new fields, it should be possible to just build up a new field in the other system and "connect" them. On the other hand ... there are some fileds that don´t need to be synchronized. For example I have virtueMart installed, but I don´t need account-data in vB. So only the "connected" User-Fields should be synchronized.

But: I want to let it open, in which System the Users change theire profile. If they change it in Joomla, it should be updated in vB. If they change it in vB, it should be updatet in Joomla.

- Username-Change
Users should be able to change theire Username by themselfs. Same about eMails.

- PMS-Integration
This is hardcore: I want to have a PMS which covers bouth systems. So I think the vB-System is the better one, there are two ways: Built up modules, that make it possible to geht the Information like "x new messages" in Joomla and a good way to write messages also in Joomla, or to make up a way to copy the PMs also to the other system.

My personal Favorite would be: Klicking on "write a Message" in Joomla openes a Popup to insert the message. So the message-Editor is comming from vB, but the User doesn´t need to leave Joomla. He keeps on the site he was before.

Well ... for the moment I think this is my most needet things. And now, how to get it. I am willing to pay money for that, so I drop 500 Dollars into that pool. If there are, let´s say, about 10 people who would invest 250 Dollars each this will be 3.000 Dollars for a coder, if he builts up this hack/extension. Isn´t this a deal?

So please ... If you have needs just post them here. And if you are willing to pay, just post it here also. If a Joomla-Integration is needet so much then I´m sure that there will be enough money that it will be interesting for some coders. And opposide.

Possibly this is just a thread to find out, how needet this hack is. ;-)

Oh ... and one more Feature:

- Article-Post-Sync-Integration

I want to connect certain Content-Sections of Joomla with forums in vBulletin.
So that a Forum can be directly connected and when I write a new Article in Joomla, there is also a new Thread started in the selected Forum in vBulletin.

And when I start a new thread in vB, there should be pushed a new Article with the same content in Joomla.

The Replys on the new Thread should be published as "Articles" in Joomla (and backwards), also the "rating-system" from vB should be shown and accesible in Joomla.

Doesn´t it sound great? To be true ... if there are not enough other Webmasters wanting (and paying) this, I would also raise my offer to a 1.000 Dollars. ;-)
