I can't seem to get an answer from PhotoPost because I can't even post on their forum.
Does anyone know the best way to handle sluggish MySQL? It is very obvious to me know how poorly written this software is compared to vBulletin. I see the CPU for MySQL jump from 1-2% to 15-20% when the photo page is loaded. I haven't made the gallery public because I know it will kill my server given my traffic. I have a Dual 3Ghz Xeon/4G Ram/SCSI so I don't think it is hardware at all. On any given day the server load is average 0.2. Thoughts? Even better, is there an alternative? |

PhotoPost works fine for a lot of people, and they probably have a server that's inferior to yours. Are you sure it is PhotoPost causing the problem?
