A little assistance with HTML for Side Bars

I installed Kerry-Ann's side bars application and the install was simple.

What I'm having trouble with is understanding the proper way to add HTML code to them to bring things like Who's Online, Newest posts, etc., into them. I've done succesful coding before but I must be really out of my depth with this one.

I'm on a learning curve here so, if someone could supply me with an example of the HTML code to follow that may have downloaded and used witrh this add-on, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Once I have an example to follow I'll be ok! LOL
