How do I find the person who made the actual ###,###th post, not just by post id number?

you have two barriers here:
1- moderators can delete active posts, so your count can be postid #500 and be the 333th post active 2- automerge posts if you have installed it... ![]() besides, if you never delete posts, if you do not have automerge, then the postid #500 IS the 500th post made on your board! |

just use this: showpost.php?p=XXXXXX
replace XXXX by the postid, and you will have the display of the postbit... you then know who posted it... check the "#4" displayed on top of the postbit of my post here, it is the exact url !!! |

That won't work if someone deleted it, I am already past that post by 10k or so.
