Weird Login Issue - Can't Duplicate

I have some members who are expressing to me that they are having an issue with logging in that I can't duplicate on any browser or any of my computers. Because I have modified the site with custom code and hacks, I can't get any real support on it, so I was hoping someone else may have experienced it and can give me some ideas.

Sometimes when a user is trying to login they say it goes to the thank you screen and then redirects back to the page they logged in from, but shows they are not logged in and gives them the login box. They are also saying it is listing them as logged in to others when this happens.

I can't duplicate the issue...I am lost.

Okay, I finally duplicated it. Here is what causes the problem...

Say I got to my site, www.dsmtech.org, and login. Everything works great, log in, log out, log back in no problems nothing. Then say I open a new tab and go to dsmtech.org no www. the site loads and doesn't recognize any of the cookies or cache from what was done on www.dsmtech.org and vice versa.

I have no idea how to fix that.

Okay, I found out the issue was with my hosting, there was no .htaccess file to redirect the people putting in the site without the www. to go to the site with www. Problem solved.
