Some responses about having CMPS on my system from vbulletin.com has me worried, they say it's a bad idea because it makes it near impossible to upgrade vbulletin to newer versions when there are addons like CMPS. They told me they were warning me now so I don't have to learn the hard way like they did.
They also said by having add ons, to upgrade you basically have to start from scratch and in the process pretty much lose everything. What's this all about? Please help. I'm a newbie and a bit worried now. I'd like to have the CMPS portal system on my site but I just don't know now. |

Someone is feeding you B/S.
CMPS does not make upgrading vb nearly impossible - it just means you will have a bit of extra work to do. Most add-ons for 3.5 and 3.6 use the plugin system and don't require any work (other than maybe importing the latest version). |
