For 3.6.1 (or newer) - The Fork Threads hack allows a vB 3.5 user to click a "Fork Thread" button, while viewing a thread, to create a new thread that is split off. Links automatically appear in old and new threads, and thread titles reflect this also. Would also be nice to allow the poster to select the destination forum.

Well, it appears to work just fine under 3.6.1. I would still love it if someone could pick this up so that new features could be added (such as selecting the destination forum).

Thanks for letting me know (even though it's now 3.6.2 I have to upgrade to!) I agree the ability to choose a destination forum would make his good mod into a great mod.

I completele agree with requests to have ability to choose destination forum, but even more would appreciate to have a link or note in original post that it had been forked to new thread. Otherwise it can end with uncontrolled number of new threads from ONe post.
Here you find my suggestions: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....9&postcount=73 Regards |
