question about forum permissions

hi!
i have been working on some kind of implementation with joomla cms. after finishing that i will submit there too.

the basic function of this system is to write a thread to the joomla db so that admin can publish this thread on joomla or just delete it.

all work done on the forum side of this script. reading vbulletin db fetching info about user and fetching to a template (actually 3 )

here comes my question. i want to get similiar threads but with an static user group permissions. so that on the joomla side guest couldnt see the topics that they souldnt.

$vbulletin->bf_ugp_forumpermissions['canview'] function cant do this i think because the sender may be an administrator or smth like that so. $vbulletin->bf_ugp_forumpermissions['canviewothers'] function will look similiar threads with his forum permissions.
