I once heard from somewhere a few months ago that someone was working on a Pruned Message Archive mod or hack for vBulletin. Does anyone know anything about this, and if so, what does anyone know about it (and if it exists, where can I get it from?)?

I do it the old fashioned way.
Create a deleted thread archive/prune archive, hide it from everyone. move all deleted threads/pruned threads to that forum. No hack needed. Job done |

Not good enough if you wish to keep the pruned messages in their original forum.

then create a sub forum called pruned archive or whateve and move them there.
What good is having a pruned message archive if they are still laying all over the orginal forum? |

I better further explain what I was told at the time...
This mod/hack would allow the admin to view even so-called ''permanently deleted'' threads and posts because they'd actually still exist, though unseen by regular members, in the board's table structure. This pruned archive would only be viewable from Admin CP, so it's not actually part of the regular board. I never heard anything more about the project and I don't remember who had told me of this, nor who was working on it. |
