Interesting. I do think that (public) site owners have the responsibility to know what type of content is posted and regulate accordingly. I also think content that targets people on a personal level, in a negative manner, such as the site in question is pushing the boundaries of freedom of speech. Words do hurt and can cause incredible amount of damages.
However, being that the site is not a professional service I wonder if the lawsuit against the site's owner will even reach court.
This is something that needs to be reviewed with local laws. For example i currently live in Argentina, So far, the law here states that all information provided by within my boards is MY responsability.
There are a lot of workarounds, just depends on how good your attourney is. There is always a work around, law is like that.
Hmm, I'd hate to have my name slandered but still, if these guys were lame enough to cheat then maybe they should have thought about that. But I'd say that the women have free speech to do what they want... though slandering isn't good either.
