I have a member who is posting in the shoutbox but not showing up as being online. Thing is, I don't allow guests to post in the shoutbox, nor are the permissions set incorrectly for their account or usergroup, or for my admin permissions.
It shows their last activity as being 2 hours ago when they're online now. Any ideas? |

Two things to check. It may be possible that if the user set his timezone incorrectly, it is showing his timestamp "before" the post was actually made. Not sure if this is possible, but makes some sense when the database attampts to fit it in with the time recorded.
Second, you might try updating some of your counters and see if that has any affect on the issue. Regards, |

I'm updating some counters and it's not changing anything. He posted in the shoutbox less than an hour ago and it's still showing his last activity online as 7:22 PM (it's 10:46 my time)
Is it because he's not posting anywhere in the forums AHH! I think I know what it is! Is it because he's just sitting on the main page in the shoutbox? Since he's having no reloading activity (since the new shoutbox doesn't have to reload a page to be able to post in it) would this show him as offline/not been online since a certain time for this reason? |

Seems possible. I'm not familiar with the details of how the shoutbox interfaces with the rest of vbulletin.
