When i try installing a skin i get notified it was designed with 3.0.5. so i ignore that and continue that installation as the read me allows me to do so...
I get an error when clicking on a category, this happened with a few skins, is there a easy way to convert the 3.0.5. skin to be compatible on the new board sorry if this has been asked before (i'm sure it has), i searched the mod how to topics with "skin" and nothing came up |

Try: AdminCP => Styles & Templates => Style Manager
Select "Edit Templates" in the dropdown menu of the old style. Then click on "Revert" for each of the red templates except the header template (and other, very custom templates). Keep a backup of the style! ![]() Ofcourse you have to do this after you imported the style in a vBulletin 3.5 installation. |

While 3.5.x will let you import 3.0.x skins, they won't work as intended.
A lot of code has changed, not quite to the scale of vB2 -> vB3 but enough.. If you really want to use the skin, I suggest you either contact the author to see if (s)he plans on porting it to vBulletin 3.5.x in the future, or if not hire someone to do a private port for you (as long as it is not redistributed without the author's permission). |
