Creating custom page error

I followed Psionic Vision's [How-To] create a custom page and it was pretty simple. But when I tried to create a custom page that wasn't on my servers root directory it would never work. It said that the error was here:

most likely it couldn't find the global.php file ... change the file address

Well is the global.php (ie. is your board) installed in the directory from where you launch your script?

I got the global.php file into the same directory as my script and changed to code in my script accordingly, but now when I try and run the script it brings up this error message.
