How can I make Announcements text use a different color?

Greetings, all.

I wish to determine if there is an existing way (or a vB hack) to make Announcements text a different color than all other thread titles/stickies/posts.

Specifically, IMHO, users rarely read announcements - often leading to unnecessary temper-tantrums and rant-a-thons (example: failure to note planned service outages for scheduled system maintenance).
