template.php error, chmod resets?

Hello,

I am running vb 3.5.2. This is a second board, i.e. no users other than me at the moment.

When trying to use the "sitle manager" in the adminCP I get these errors

I log into cpanel and notice the permissions are set to 000, not 644

I change them back, try again and it resets the chmod to 000. I can't view it, etc. I have removed all of the hacks that were installed but I am unable to revert the templates, etc.

Somehow I don't think this is hack related though. Hacks that WERE installed..

All of the mods have been removed except those that require you to go to the style manager and revert templates, mainly because I get the errors above. Any suggestion?

As an update to this I deleted the template.php from cpanel and was then able to load the old version and it works, just trying to figure out what happened...
