Default Free based email registration

AOL isnt free based? What's the deal behind that?

And does it matter if someone uses freebased or not because they need a vbulletin license anyways, right?

Probably the main point of banning free-based e-mails is so it's harder to register many e-mails to get back into vBT if you are banned etc.

AOL may not be free-based, but maybe some of the e-mail bans aren't based on the fact they are free.

Have people actually been banned from vBT?

Yea I assumed this but thats not what it says when you try to sign up with a free account

Just thought it was kind of interesting and wondering why it was done thats all.

Yes, and I can say a fair bit of members have been banned from vBT. It's not actually your idea trouble-free community but offenders and prosecuted and fast they are.
