If you had a lot of members then the database would soon be FILLED with IPs, that's why vBulletin doesn't log them by default whenever they login - only when they make posts.
This is because people who use dialup always change their IPs everytime, so lots of IPs to record then ![]() |

Yeah, I thought it was something like that.
Pardon my ignorance, but where can I find the log of members who've posted messages? Thanks again, D. |

What exactly are you trying to find? Your question is pretty general.

Sorry about that. What I'm hoping for is a text file which logs ip addresses of users who either: log onto vBulletin, or post messages.
Thanks again for your help, D. |

OK...I got phpmyadmin, and can get ip's from users' posts thru sql. That should do fine for now, though ideally I'd get the ip's from authenticated users.
The long story is: we're a corporate employee bb, and are trying to decide if we can take it to intranet, or leave it internet. The deciding factor is how many emps use the board from home. My bosses are ok with just getting how many emps 'post' from home, and use that number as in indicator. Anywho...thanks for your help. It's greatly appreciated. D. |
