Total freakin n00b

Cut to the chase. I have a server which will be used for my F1 Simulation
hobby...will have forums etc. I have V-Bulletin...well a friend has it and is letting me use it. Problem is, after I log into my server Admin CP (V-Deck)

I am totally lost. All this user_admin user_access (Insert) Browse...Drop
stuff...goes way over my head. My buddy is a whizz at this stuff. He's also a student and is home sporadically. Since it's my server, I guess I should be able to run everything withotu him....

Basically right now, I'm locked out of my own forums....don't know where
what to turn on so I can get in there and set some stuff up.
I can run the forums, just not the SQL php...whatever.

I know this sounds sad and pathetic, but...any easy to understand,
simple tutorials out there for this kinda stuff. I've tried 4-5 other sites
but they all speak the lingo and I'm clueless.

1. Do you have a lisence?
2. If you have a lisence, have you tried vbulletin.com?
3. What version of vb do you have installed?

I dunno...I don't see a version...where is the number at or whatever?

Oh...sorry...yeah I tried v-bulletin...I tried my server provider's MySQL forums...
just alot of gripey people...which I can understand to a point...same old
questions get old...but...I am LOST. I have never been this lost in...anything.

What is WDYL and what exactly are you having trouble with? Sorry i couldnt figure it out from your 1st post.
