Default Mac or PC?

I don't believe this topic has ever been brought up, but what do you prefer more? And if you could elaborate, what are you reasons?

I'm a PC user, and I just like them more because PC far less expensive (upgrading and buying). Also you can't play any highly-graphic intensive games on MACs. About all it can handle is Tetris..or maybe Lemmings 3d...

Ok, that's a lie, last game though I heard it could play fairly well was Quake 3...but no Unreal Tournament 3 that's for sure.

PC - started on one and just moved up. habbits are hard to change, and then i would have to learn another system.

Currently run XP and lunix on the same machine...

That's complete bulls***, most new Macs come with at least a GeForce4MX which blows away most prebuild desktop's cards. The somewhat higher-end ones come with a Radeon 9700.

I own a Mac and a PC and:

1. OS X 10.2 owns any version of Windows in any aspect
2. Mac hardware at the low end is cheap but gets insanely expensive the higher up (no real mid-point). I got an iBook though for $1300 and it has a 5 hour battery life. No PC laptop at that price has that kinds of batt life. The iBook attracts chicks too (I'm not kidding, I swear it does )
3. PCs are usually easier to upgrade and have more choices in the terms of software and OSes, but there are also many Mac-only pieces of software. Most Microsoft apps have been ported to OS X, including Office (sans Access to my knowledge).
4. Maybe pointless but Mac hardware is better looking and quieter.
5. UT2k3 won't run on a Mac because they didn't bother porting the code to OS X
6. OS X has never, ever completely locked up on me to the point where I had to force a restart. In Windows it happens occasionally in XP for me (of course my desktop has a ton of hardware in it compared to my laptop).

I was playing Quake 3 today (during class, no teacher, wireless network ) and was getting 70 fps, peaking at 80 fps, on an Internet game. On my low-end iBook.

Oh yes: no registry. To install IE on a Mac, just download it and open Internet Explorer. To uninstall it, delete the program.

I like PCs...

But I do agree that Mac computers have advantages as far as OS and performance...

Unfortunately, there is little compatibility from most programs for Macs

If you mean program documents then that's not true, Office documents, Text files, graphics, movies, etc. are all compatible between the two. In my experience the Windows file sharing in 10.2 is worthless though, but it's easy to get around that and still do network transfers.

Basicly its a matter of preference, I'll allways use a PC and Windows, its what I consider to be best and the best working environment for me. I dislike, Mac OS, Unix and Linux intensly, but thats just me.
